The Chamber Choice Awards was held Thursday, March 31 from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Rainwater Conference Center. Six prestigious awards were presented recognizing top businesses and volunteers who demonstrate outstanding commitment to the Valdosta-Lowndes County community. Below are the 2011 winners along with a description of each award.

The BIG Thinker is presented each year to a self-made, visionary and successful entrepreneur who cares and gives back to his or her community.

This award acknowledges a creative and innovative small business with 100 or less employees that demonstrates growth and stabillity in the business community.

This award recognizes the outstanding work done by a manufacturer that has made a meaningful economic impact, and demonstrates outstanding corporate citizenship and workplace excellence.

This award recognizes a member dedicated to quality customer/client services and raises the expectations of customer service and courtesy in the community.

This award is presented to a Chamber Ambassador who exemplifies outstanding volunteer support, donates countless hours of service and assists with numerous Chamber initiatives, as well as provides support to business on behalf of the Chamber.

This award recognized a young professional who has made a positive impact to his or her business's bottom line.
