Comprehensive Legislative Review by the
Government Affairs Council

The Government Affairs Council (GAC) consists of Chamber members representing businesses and organizations throughout our community. The GAC has seven standing policy committees led by committee chairs and vice chairs, which work much the same way as committees in the State Legislature.

As issues arise, they are assigned to a policy committee for review and subsequent recommendation to the GAC Executive Committee. Guided by the Chamber’s adopted priniciple statement and policy positions, a position to support or oppose is then reported to the Chamber membership and elected officials to take appropriate action.
