VALDOSTA, GA – The Chamber Ambassadors honored Wooden Nickel Pub as this week’s Leading Business of the Week.
Wooden Nickel has been a staple in the Valdosta area for many years, more than 30 to be exact. Starting out on North Valdosta road, the business closed in 2005 and reopened in 2006. An article by Jennifer Tanner written in 2006 about the re-opening stated that “In less than a week, the Wooden Nickel had already served over 5,000 people and as many as 30 people were still waiting outside daily for its doors to open.”
Wooden Nickel Pub has been a member of the Chamber since it’s re-opening in 2006.

VALDOSTA, GA – The Chamber Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting in honor of the grand re-opening of Langdale KIA.
The dealership’s new management, Anthony and Yvette Jefferson, oversaw the renovations of the front lobby.
Approximately 50 guests were in attendance at Thursday afternoon’s event, including Mayor John Gayle along with City Council members and County Commissioners. Big Nick’s catered the event.

VALDOSTA, GA – The Chamber Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting in honor of the grand opening of Titletown Wrestling Academy.
Titletown Wrestling Academy may be an athletic facility, but they aim to provide much more than just physical fitness. They offer a unique and regimented youth wrestling program while focusing on the total development of young athletes. Titletown Wrestling Academy prepares young athletes for success both on and off the wrestling mat.
Titletown’s goal is to enhance the overall lives of Valdosta’s youth through athletic activity and lessons learned in athletic competition. In their opinion, “The purpose of youth sports is to provide experiences for future life activities by introducing the concepts and skills that will help promote growth in character and mental strength,” explains director and head coach, Antonio Del Vecchio. While countless life lessons are taught in sports, Del Vecchio and his staff place a particular emphasis on worth ethic, mental toughness and character.
Titletown Wrestling Academy has a place for all children. “Every child can wrestle,” Del Vecchio says. Athletes of all shapes and sizes are welcomed as it is taught to all students that athletic aptitude does not trump hard work. VALDOSTA, GA- The Chamber Ambassadors recently held a ribbon cutting for The Orchard at Stone Creek in honor of their grand opening.
The Orchard is a premier assisted living community nestled in a beautiful setting located next to the Stone Creek subdivision. Their mission is to provide the highest-tier assisted-living services and to care for the medical, memory and respite the needs of seniors. After nearly two years of construction, the Orchard is thrilled to share the new amenities they have to offer the community.

VALDOSTA, GA- The Chamber Ambassadors honored G&M Plumbing as Leading Business for the week of June 12, 2017.
G&M Plumbing has been in business for nearly 40 years. With trust and dependability as the backbone of the company, Scott Metts and his late partner, Joe Giddens, have built a powerhouse company, worthy of repeat customers and long-term employees.
While G&M Plumbing doesn’t work in the residential field of plumbing, they are very successful in commercial work and have done business with places like Wiregrass Technical College and Valdosta State University. “Although we do contract work with those bigger businesses, we also work closely businesses that only employ 1 or 2, so there really isn’t a commercial job that is too small,” said Scott Metts, owner.

VALDOSTA, GA- The Chamber Ambassadors recently held a ribbon cutting for Southern Scrubs.Southern Scrubs is a medical uniform retail store owned by Southern OB/GYN Associates. Their mission is to provide comfort and style to those on the job all while delivering excellent customer service. They are conveniently located on North Ashley Street, which is in close proximity to South Georgia Medical Center and many other medical offices in Valdosta.
In addition to having a storefront, Southern Scrubs is determined to bring their products to the community in all ways possible. “We provide pop-up shops that bring the scrubs to you, providing an easy and convenient experience,” explains manager, Everly Welch. The company is happy to help the community they love being a part of.
