CHOICES is an interactive live classroom workshop that empowers teens to make positive educational CHOICES to increase their career and life opportunities.In two 45-minute sessions, trained volunteers from the business community take students through real-world exercises on the consequences of dropping out and the benefits of educational attainment, also introducing them to skills for success such as self-discipline, decision making, time management and goal setting. Bring CHOICES to teens in your community.
How about a PTO meeting at the workplace? Lunch or breakfast is provided during the interactive presentation on "Helping Your Child Succeed." Startling statistics and information is provide as to why students excel or trail academically, dropout prevention, creating a 'learning environment' at home and so much more.This program (free to Chamber members) promotes parental involvement. Two professionals from the local community, a school representative and a business representative, will present the program to any parent, grandparent or caretaker interested. The Helping Your Child Succeed Program is presented during the employees' normal lunch hour in approximately 30 minutes.
