The Chamber Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of the Valdosta location of the Urology Institute.
The Urology Institute specializes in the treatment of kidney stones, bladder problems, impotency, and disorders of the prostate and bladder. They offer services that do not otherwise exist in Valdosta, such as treatment for erectile dysfunction. After twenty years, the Institute has a 98% satisfaction rate and their safety record ranks among the highest nationally. Dr. Frank Glover received his MD from Johns Hopkins and is also an ordained Baptist preacher with a Masters in Biblical Studies. The National Medical Association honored him with the “Physician of the Year” award in 2012, and he also had the distinction of testifying before Congress regarding the Ebola response. A philanthropist, he has also participated in Christian Medical Missions work in Africa for the past 30 years. Dr. Glover has offices in Thomasville, Moultrie, Albany, and Valdosta. He opened the Valdosta location because of how many patients were travelling from Valdosta to Thomasville to see him. “I love what I do because God has gifted me to show compassion and excellence in the treatment of patients,” said Dr. Glover. “Every person is special and has unique needs and concerns. I listen to the patient and customize treatment for the individual. Bringing the 12 years of training that I received at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine to southwest Georgia has been a dream come true.” According to Howes, the Chamber “has served as a resource in introducing me to the community,” allowing him to “inform the community of the services of the Urology Institute.” Visit the Urology Institute’s new location at 2601 Bemiss Rd, or contact them by calling 229-474-4383. |
