Following a lengthy rehabilitation of the Southern Salvage Building, which began last spring, the 22,000-square-foot building accommodates the firm’s growing client base, as well as an increased number of attorneys and staff. “Since last spring, we have been focused on preserving the past, and now we are able to look toward the future to another chapter in our own history,” said Justin Scott, managing partner with Coleman Talley. Founded in 1937, Coleman Talley has 35 attorneys with offices in Valdosta and Atlanta. The firm has a sophisticated commercial practice area servicing commercial and residential real estate and construction needs, municipal law, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, affordable and multifamily housing, and university housing transactions, as well as a reputable and established litigation practice. “We serve all of Georgia and the Southeastern United States,” Scott said. “In addition to being members of the State Bar of Georgia, certain attorneys are also licensed to practice law in Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, and South Carolina.” Coleman Talley is certified by the American Land Title Association (ALTA) for best practices in real estate transactions. The firm has also been recognized as “Legal Leaders” by Martindale Hubbell and acknowledged by A. M. Best as client recommended insurance attorneys for more than 50 years.
