The Chamber Ambassadors honored Options Now as the Leading Business of the Week for October 8, 2018.
Celebrating 27 years of service in the Valdosta-Lowndes County community, Options Now is a non-profit, faith-based medical clinic. Options Now has joined with two other ministries, Repeat Boutique Thrift Store and Choose Now. The ministries received donations totaling over $600,000 which provides free services to approximately 800 women and their families each year. “The people of this community contribute individually, as well as through their business, church, local grants, plus donors and customers at the Repeat Boutique Thrift Store,” said Becky Deas, executive director. “Options Now’s beautiful facility was built in 2012 and paid for in just four years thanks to generous donors.” In November, Options Now will host their first community-wide Walk for Life event. The funds raised will help cover the walk in addition to other vital programs that are offered at no charge. To further increase the positive impact on families, Options Now will add a Men’s Ministry to target fathers. “Options Now is a ministry that serves people with the compassion of Christ, offering hope in each situation,” said Deas. “God created me to love and serve others so that I can fulfill my life’s purpose at Options Now.” A proud member of the Chamber, Options Now is pleased with the many opportunities provided to connect with the community and potential partners for their organization. “Our staff has participated in workshops and seminars helping us to grow as leaders and as an organization,” Deas said. “This causes more growth and excellence in our community, and we connect, we learn from each other, and help one another be better.” The Leading Business of the Week program is designed to recognize members who have partnered with the Chamber for at least five years.
