2023 Farmer Appreciation Breakfast Invitation

The Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce and Lowndes County Government are partnering to present the 2023 Farmer of the Year Awards. Anyone may nominate a Small and/or Large Farmer. To be eligible to receive the award, a farmer must farm in Lowndes and/or Echols Counties.

  • Small Farmer of the Year - A small farmer is considered someone who has earned an average (over the last three years) annual gross farm income of less than $200,000.
  • Large Farmer of the Year - A large farmer is considered someone who has earned an average (over the last three years) annual gross farm income of more than $200,000.

Nomination submissions are due by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31st.
